Plasticade Portable Sign Stands

The Plasticade products are very durable 100% plastic products that will not rust, splinter, or ever need painting and this is a great place to get them at very reasonable prices. The molded handle provides easy portability. These stands can be internally weighted down with sand. Vinyl graphics can be applied directly to the sign area of the sign stand or sign faces can be attached with velcro, double stick tape, rivets, or the optional Screw-in hardware (see below) allows for changeable sign faces.

There are two important things to know before using any of these Plasticade sign stands. One is how much sand to use when adding internal weight to the stand (if needed). You should only put 5 lbs (or about a coffee can full) in each side. That comes to about 6 inches in the bottom of each side. You do NOT want to fill them up all the way to the top with sand or they will bend.

The second thing is that you will need to prepare the surface with isopropyl alcohol and "flame treatment" if you are applying an adhesive backed vinyl decal directly to the sign area or it may not stick to the surface. You do not need to use isopropyl alcohol if you are attaching a completed sign to the sign area of the sign stand using screws or some other mechanical fastening method. The Signicade is 25"x45" and it has a a 24"x36" sign area. NOTE: If you are attaching a rigid sign, make the sign panel 1/8" smaller than 24"x36" to be sure that it fits down inside of the recessed area. Available in yellow, orange or white. Special Hardware for Portable Sign Stand

This is optional special mounting hardware for enhancing the Signicade sign stands. These items are referred to as well-nuts. You can attach a sign to the sign stands with standard wood screws, but in time (and with several sign changes) the screw holes will get enlarged and will no longer hold a screw. This hardware fixes that problem. You simply drill holes where needed to hold your sign. Slip the black piece through the hole (from the front side of the sign). Put your screw in from the front side and tighten the screw. This causes the insert to expand, like a molly in drywall, creating a permanent screw receptacle. This allows the user to change sign faces quick and easily as often as desired. Minimum of 4 units per order. (unit = 1 screw and 1 insert). You will need 4 units for each side of the Signicade.

24"x36" Corrugated Plastic Sign Panels

4mm thick 24"x36" Corrugated Plastic Sign Panels. Available in yellow, white or black. Works great as a sign panel to attach to our "Signicade" or "Marquee" sign stands. The panels will be very close to 24"x36" but due to the production process, we cannot guarantee that the panels will be perfect 24"x36" rectangles. This is because we cut down the corrugations and the corrugation isn't always perfectly located on the larger sheets that these are cut from.
