| The Marquee

The Marquee sign stands are very durable 100% plastic products
that will not rust, splinter, or ever need painting. They are made by
the maker of the "Signicade" and they have a very similar construction
to the Signicade sign stand. The molded handle provides easy
portability. These stands can be internally weighted down with sand. The
hinges "click-lock" into position. Vinyl graphics can be applied
directly to the sign area of the sign stand or sign faces can be
attached with velcro, double stick tape, rivets, or the optional
Screw-in hardware (see below) allows for changeable sign faces.
There are two important things to know before using any of these Marquee
sign stands.
One is how much
sand to use when adding internal weight to the stand (if needed). You
should only put 5 lbs (or about a coffee can full) in each side. That
comes to about 6 inches in the bottom of each side. You do NOT want to
fill them up all the way to the top with sand or they will bend.
The second thing is that you will need to wipe the surface with
isopropyl alcohol if you are applying adhesive backed vinyl directly to
the sign area or it will not stick. You do not need to use isopropyl
alcohol if you are attaching a completed sign to the sign area of the
sign stand. If you are going to apply vinyl graphics directly to
the Marquee, you would want to cover the sign area with a sheet of vinyl
and not individual vinyl letters.
The Marquee is 26"x41" and it has a 24"x36" sign area. The Marquee is
available in red, green, blue or black.
