All of our roll-up signs are made with a solid vinyl "banner like" material and not mesh. This is for several reasons. Some people think that mesh performs better in the wind. We find that the mesh material does not perform any better in the wind. Our vinyl material, when used on a proper sign stand, performs great in high winds. The solid vinyl is also stronger and more durable than a mesh material. Lastly, the vinyl material makes for a better material to print on and we find them to be way more readable than mesh.
These safety signs are NCHRP-350 certified. Click HERE to see a state approval map for Reflexite products. All sign legends conform to "Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices" (MUTCD). This item consists of the printed face with the cross-braces. The cross-brace is the "+" shapped fiberglass rods that hold the sign open. These faces have lexan corner pockets to recieve the cross-brace. Use this roll-up sign face with one of our roll-up sign stands to make a complete and portable roadside warning sign. The sign stand is not included with this sign face. These sign faces are available in 4 different materials. If using reflective material, we recommend using superbright unless your state requires something different. From our observations, Superbrite is accepted in the vast majority of locations. The material choices are:
Reflexite Non-Reflective (for daylight use only). The "standard non-reflective" is well suited for standard duty daytime use.Reflexite Superbright Reflective (for day & night use). For heavy duty use. This is our most ecconomical reflective and this is by far our most popular reflective material. ASTM Type = 6.
Reflexite Marathon Reflective (for day & night use). For heavy duty around the clock usage. 3-Year Warrantee. ASTM Type = 6.
3M Diamond Grade Reflective (for day & night use). DG is the most expensive reflective material that we offer, but it is als the brightest reflective available and is well suited for where traffic speeds are high.
